ABOUT THE FOUNDER:
Brenda Carroll Stevenson was born in Harlem, New York in 1961. Her parents moved to California when she was 2 years-old and she was raised in the Bay Area. Although accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior early in her life, Brenda had no clue what that really meant. As a young child, until about the age of 40, Brenda’s life has been a roller coaster of good and bad decisions and the mercy of Jesus Christ in her life. She believed and prayed to a God whom she didn’t really know but claimed to love. It wasn’t until 2001, she found herself fervently praying to God to please get her out of the prison guard job she had at San Quentin State Prison. God heard her cry and in June 2001, Brenda was promoted to a Parole Agent job in Oakland, California.
About a year later, Brenda prayed to God for a church to attend that was close to home. The church she was attending was a distance away and she would not attend as much as she should. God answered her prayer providing a church right around the corner from her house within walking distance. Antioch Christian Center started using the elementary school that was recently built to hold their Sunday services.
Brenda said when she walked around the corner to their church service, she knew instantly that ACC was going to be her church family. She said, “everything felt right!” Laughing inside her heart and talking to God in her mind she said, “thank you God this is definitely close to home.”From that day on Brenda’s life started to change tremendously. Jesus took her off the roller coaster and put her on the straight and narrow path to Him. She was in church every Sunday and Wednesday and any other events that were going on in-between. Brenda developed a personal relationship with God and wanted to get to know Jesus more and more. Before, she didn’t know that she didn’t know! Brenda started Seminary College in 2005 and received her Doctorate Degree in Theology in May 2011 and is now known as Dr. Stevenson. Dr. Stevenson moved to Atlanta Georgia in January 2016 and founded Jesus Inside Ministries in November 2021. Dr. Stevenson says the main purpose of Jesus Inside Ministries, Inc. is to go out and make Disciples. To get people to seek Jesus with their whole heart and build a personal relationship with Him. Personal relationship is the key, and your life will forever be changed!
